Motels booking up fast!

I had another100 miles in sloppy rain, but it was better than snow.  The windshield wiper (singular) was able to keep up and I could actually see the clear wet pavement.  Then it started again...

Almost another 70 miles in heavy wet snow did me in.  I could barely see around me and it was starting to get dark early.  Plus it was now 2 hours later than PDT.  When did THAT happen??  I figured everyone was going to be just like me, wanting to bed down for the night and wait it out.  I pulled over and googled hotels in Grand Island.  They were all back at I-80 so I would have to back track.  Then it appeared out of the mist!  A motel right across the street!!!  The Residence Suite Inns (That sounded familiar?).  I zipped over to see the parking lot was completely full and customers still checking in.  Plates from Ohio and CA confirmed my fear!!

But alas, I got a room!  And one of the last parking spots!  The receptionist was the most professional of all I had been served by thus far.  I had made a good choice!
